This was a logo I created for an assignment at NKH (Norges Kreative Høgskole). We receieved a brief from Bergen diving club to update their existing logo. They wanted a fresh, new logo appealing to both young and old, while representing the clubs' values and ideas.
This is my suggestion for their new logo. It depicts a booby, a predatory sea-bird living along the norwegian-coast, diving to the ocean to catch fish. The booby dives from a height of 40 to 50 meters achieving speeds up to a 100 km/h, making it an excellent symbol for courage and determination, qualities which are needed to do competetive diving. The booby's unusual beak also makes it easy to recognize and gives it a fun look, appealing to children.
